Monday Munchies: Counting the Cost-Hunger

My whole world is teaching people to learn long term thinking. Delayed gratification, if you will.

Have you ever noticed if you start counting the cost of something

(I have spent this much money on this and my belly still isn’t where I want it! Or I have been doing this for 2 months already! Why is it taking so long?! I am hungry every day! I’m so over it! )

It suddenly seems not worth it?

Stop

You are worth it

Don’t count the cost

Fitness or weight loss goals?

Me too

We are working in a 12 month goal within 4 chunks of 90 day spaces of time. Then we break it down monthly, weekly and then to the only thing you actually control:

Daily

What I run into most is people wanting a quick fix, or a pill to stop the hunger pains.

😳Why?🤷🏼‍♀️

Dude, you’ve spend more than 2-3 decades NOT eating right, it’s gonna take ya the better part of the next year to curb it!

Let’s break this down.

Hungry when losing weight or leaning out for a personal goal?

Yep

Wanna know the secret?

Deal with it 🤷🏼‍♀️ Protein fillers, low/no cal drinks, low cal fillers, they are all useful, in fact I use them DAILY but my best tip for hunger is 😳👍🏻 Deal with it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Truth?

Hunger is something you’ll have to deal with to lower body fat, no amount of veggies or fancy protein ice cream will help with that.

Hungry = doing it right.

Oddly enough I like being hungry, 😳 weird thing to say I know 😂 but the reality is, when I’m hungry in my head it means I’m probably in enough of a deficit that fat can’t compete. The best thing you can do is just ACCEPT that it’s normal and carry on with your day. Stay as busy as you can and choose not to let it control you.

This is why I map out my meals evenly, with the proper macros, and my day so I’m not constantly thinking about food and when my next meal is. I know I have eaten when I should and what I should. And hunger in between for me is success. A caloric deficit is a controlled starvation so experiencing hunger is perfectly normal, safe and acceptable.

How you deal with it mentally is up to you and what gives you the success of maintaining the deficit for the time you need.

Don’t count the cost of it all. Just deal with it daily, knowing that you’re winning that day, the only one that you control!

My best advice is simply

Deal with it!

Here’s to the coming fall. Here’s to the many goals yet ahead to achieve before the years end!💪🏻 Stay grateful. Stay humble. Stay in the mode of always becoming the best YOU! Don’t count the cost, stay focused on the prize.

Here's to you and the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 90 days ahead of you!
